CASL + GDPR compliant. Canadian servers. Not subject to the US Cloud Act. REST API and SMTP relay. CAD $0.15 per 1,000 emails.
Every feature exists because a law or a deliverability standard requires it — not as a checkbox.
Hosted in Canada. Not subject to the US Cloud Act. Your data cannot be compelled by US authorities — a hard requirement for many European and Canadian privacy policies.
Suppression lists, bounce handling, and complaint processing built in. Hard bounces and spam complaints automatically suppress recipients. Not an afterthought.
Per-domain DKIM keypairs generated on signup. Automated DNS verification. Haraka-backed delivery with per-domain signing — no shared infrastructure.
One endpoint, Bearer token auth, JSON in and out. Or drop in our SMTP credentials and send from any existing mailer. Send your first email in under 5 minutes.
Bounce rates, complaint rates, delivery stats — all queryable by date range via API. See exactly what happened to every message.
Real-time delivery events pushed to your endpoint. HMAC-signed so you can verify origin. Failed deliveries retried automatically with exponential backoff.
REST API or SMTP — your choice. Both use the same API key.
curl -X POST https://zedmail.io/v1/email/send \ -H "Authorization: Bearer ses_your_api_key" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "from": "Your App <noreply@yourdomain.ca>", "to": "customer@example.com", "subject": "Welcome!", "html": "<p>Thanks for signing up.</p>" }' → 202 { "message_id": "msg_3a7f9c...", "status": "queued" }
Post-paid monthly in CAD. No contracts, no minimums, no surprises.
5–8× cheaper than Mailgun, SendGrid, or Postmark — and unlike those US-controlled services, not subject to the Cloud Act. About the same price as Amazon SES but with CASL/GDPR compliance and Canadian infrastructure included. Also available in GBP (£0.08/1k), EUR (€0.09/1k), and USD ($0.10/1k) — choose your currency at registration.
The US Cloud Act (2018) allows US authorities to compel any US-controlled company to produce data stored anywhere in the world — including data on servers physically located in Europe or Canada. AWS, Mailgun (Sinch), SendGrid (Twilio), and Postmark are all US-controlled. We are not.
PIPEDA and provincial privacy laws (Québec Law 25 in particular) require you to know where personal data is processed and who can access it. Canadian infrastructure with no US parent company gives you a clean answer.
GDPR Chapter V restricts transfers of personal data to third countries. Using a Canadian provider avoids the Cloud Act problem entirely. Data Processing Agreement available on request.
Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation requires suppression of unsubscribes, bounces, and complaints. Every account gets a suppression list. Hard bounces and spam complaints are automatically added — no manual work required.
As a data processor handling email addresses (personal data), we operate under a clear controller/processor relationship. Data is not shared with third parties, not processed outside Canada, and can be erased on request.
